As the 2016 school year comes to an end, we are already looking ahead to the start of 2017.
The 2017 school year starts for teaching staff at John McGlashan College on Monday the 30th of January. Staff will be available to meet with any Year 11 or 12 day boys to discuss course confirmation after 1.00pm if required.
On Tuesday the 31st of January, all Year 9 boarders will arrive between 10:30am - 10:45pm. All other boarders need to be back by 5:00pm. Year 11 and 12 boarders have the opportunity to discuss course confirmation after 1pm if required on this day and Year 13 students can also discuss their course confirmation after 2pm. All Year 9 students will have their school induction programme on this day and need to be at school at 1:00pm. They will start in the Chapel.
The first full day of school for all students is on Wednesday the 1st of February. The day will start with a school assembly and then regular classes will begin.
As a new initiative this year, we are planning to have an Induction Day for all of our Year 13 boys on Thursday the 2nd of February. This will be a time to inspire and to encourage all Year 13 boys to be school leaders in 2017.
