On the 7th of June 140 boys and guests came together for a meal and to hear Judge Michael Crosbie speak.

The John McGlashan 'Men's Breakfast' is an annual event to raise funds for JMC Sports Council. This year we were honoured to have Judge Crosbie join us to share some of his experiences and wisdom.  Judge Crosbie is a resident Judge here in Dunedin and sits in the District Court throughout New Zealand. He is actively involved in the community and has been involved with schools in both Christchurch and Dunedin for many years.

At the start of the breakfast, Mr. Garry spoke to the boys and guests (mainly Dads, but also some Grandfathers, Uncles and brothers ) about the importance of relationships between family members as well as what John McGlashan College stands for. After this, we were all treated to a wonderful cooked breakfast, supplied by our school kitchen staff. Once everyone was settled, Judge Crosbie enlightened us with entertaining stories and plenty of 'food for thought' not only for our boys, but for those men of all ages.

It was certainly a fantastic way to start the day and I'm sure there were some follow up discussions that night around the dinner table in many homes.
