International Prefect and 2016 Dux Jerry Chen's Final Word

Thursday 1st December 2016

School, a place where we all have to come. Once it was the worst thing for me as I had to leave my home and parents for some time, but John McGlashan College has turned the cries of mine into laughter, and it made high school time a very special part of my life.

Everything eventually comes to and end, so it's time for us Year 13s to say goodbye to the school and thank you.

Before we leave, I would like to take this opportunity to firstly thank all the teachers at John McGlashan College.  What we are today is a result of all your efforts.  We appreciate your years of teaching and for always being there when we needed you.

Secondly, as the international prefect for 2016, I would like to congratulate Jiro Chen for earning international prefectship for 2017.  Well deserved and I'm sure he will do a brilliant job in assisting the international department and helping out the international students.

Finally, I would like to say a thank you to all the students at JMC, for treating me like one of the brothers even though I only arrived in year 12. I won't forget the memories we built and experiences we gained. Farewell all, and I wish you all the very best for future.
